Nordic Visitor is a well-established travel agency specializing in tourism in Svalbard and other exciting Nordic destinations. We offer a wide range of tailor-made vacation packages and accommodations to suit any needs or interests. In Svalbard we offer accommodation in Longyearbyen and Spitsbergen.
Our Selection
Based on our years of experience and close cooperation with hotels in Svalbard and our other destinations, Nordic Visitor is able to accommodate any request according to location, group size, and budget. Our selection includes guesthouses, hotels, cruise ships, and much more. From budget to luxury, we aim to provide the very best accommodation available in each destination.
Booking a Package
With exception of day tours, all Nordic Visitor vacation packages include overnight accommodation.
To choose a vacation package, simply browse the vacation categories on the top left side of each destination page. When you have located your desired vacation package, click on the “book now” button to begin the online booking process. You can choose your preferred type of accommodation within the online booking form. It is also possible to customize a package with our tour customization form.
Upon arrival to Norway or Svalbard, travellers will receive a voucher booklet with all reservations. We can also send the vouchers by post on request.

Basecamp Trapper‘s Hotel
Located in the heart of Longyearbyen, Basecamp Trapper’s Lodge offers a uniquely Arctic lodging experience. Furnished with local drift wood, stone, and seal skins, the rustic decor resembles an old trapper’s cottage but with all the warmth and comforts of a modern hotel. No guest room is exactly alike though all include private bathrooms and comfortable furnishings. Breakfast is served daily in the Traveller’s Club and guests can watch TV in the lounge area or relax under the glass ceiling of the Cognac Attic, a great place to watch the northern lights in comfort!
Radisson Blu Polar Hotel Spitsbergen
With spectacular views of Isfjorden and the Longyearbreen glacier, this full-service hotel offers a surprising level of comfort so close to the North Pole. Located in central Longyearbyen, the Radisson Blu Polar Hotel boasts 95 non-smoking guest rooms, including apartments and suites, all with private bathrooms, cosy furnishings, and amenities such as a mini-bar, hairdryer, telephone, TV, and free wireless internet. Other features include a sauna and lobby shop along with fine dining at Brasseri Nansen and savoury snacks at the Barentz Pub and Spiseri.
Spitsbergen Hotel
Perched on a scenic hillside overlooking Longyearbyen, the historic Spitsbergen Hotel offers a charming atmosphere in addition to amazing views of Adventfjorden and the stunning peak of Hiortfjellet. Formerly a staff centre and entertainment venue for a mining company in the old days, this hotel features 88 contemporary guest rooms and suites, all with a private bathroom, TV, radio, telephone and mini-bar. Guests can also enjoy a relaxing trip to the hotel’s sauna or an authentic local meal and drinks at the Funktionærmessen Restaurant and Funken Bar.

Spitsbergen guesthouse
Located just a short walk from Longyearbyen, the Spitsbergen Guesthouse offers accommodation for up to 136 guests in a variety of single, double, and triple rooms in three traditionally-styled buildings with shared bathrooms/showers, laundry facilities, kitchenettes, and TV rooms. Amenities in the main building include a large breakfast room and lounge area near the reception desk featuring a kiosk, TV, and internet access. Originally built to house miners after World War II, this cosy guesthouse now serves as an ideal starting point for adventures around Spitsbergen.
